Can we Recognize Diabetes Early when Lab Tests are Late?

As we have seen in Post #101, unfortunately, mainstream medicine rarely acknowledges other signs and symptoms than the "3 Ps" (increased urine, increased thirst, increased hunger) before the diabetes diagnosis.

For this reason diabetes is diagnosed on average only 8 to 14 years after the initial symptoms surface.

In a way this is understandable. We have seen how laboratory tests only start picking up on the problem once there are changes in our cells. That is already relatively late in the gam… Continue

I… Continue

The Difficulty with Mainstream Recognition of Symptoms Leading Towards Diabetes

Mainstream medicine talks about the 3P's as warning signs for diabetes:
- polydipsia (excess thirst)
- polyuria (excess amounts or frequency of urine)
- polyphagia (great hunger)

Natural medicine knows that these signs surface already well into your journey towards diabetes. It takes 8 to 14 years from your first diabetes-related signs until you get diagnosed with diabetes.

Unfortunately, mainstream's diagnosis for pre-diabetes mostly relies on diagnosis of impaired fasting glucose (IFG) or im… Continue
